Over 6 days 5 nights this personal private photography experience blends iconic landscapes, relaxed learning, and personal guidance — without pressure or rush.

Private Photography Experience

This photography retreat is for solo photographers only, who want to be taught by a professional but at their own pace.
So regardless of your experience level and fitness level the retreat is all about you. You can learn as much as you want at your own pace without any distractions and receive 100% tailored guidance on everything there is to know about landscape and Milky Way photography.
You will decide on how early you want to start, how many hrs you want to be taught and how late you want to finish. It could be 18hr days or 6hr days. Regardless, it's my job to bring you up to speed or enhance and push what you thinkmight already know.
If you look at the Emerging and confident this gives you an idea of what you can decide you want to do while being guided by me during our 6 days shooting in Far North Qld.

Tripod with level (ball head tripod recommended with bubble level on legs and a separate bubble on ball head (not critical for two bubble levels) – Manfroto are a good brand of Tripod
A DSLR or mirrorless camera (cropped sensor or full frame) that has full manual capability (M) on dial
Any lenses you have for the camera (Prime, zoom or telephoto)
Any lens filters (ND filters) if you have them
Lens warmer
128GB Memory card (minimum)
Camera to laptop data cable OR memory card reader
Camera battery charger
2 batteries (minimum)
Remote trigger (if you have one)
Great walking boots
Sand Fly repellent
Lightweight jacket
Lightweight warm jacket
Lightweight trousers for outdoors

Hiking Burning Stove

Camel Pack (3ltr depending on your water intake)
Laptop (if you have one) if not don’t worry you will be shown on my own (not needed for hike)
Lens wipes or old soft T-shirt for cleaning lenses
Clean camera sensor (you can ask a camera shop to do this for you)
Clean (no mould on lenses) You can ask a camera shop to check this for you
Mobile phone to download free version of Camera / Star locations App
Gloves that you can poke tips of fingers out of (depending on tour date)
